Jack Dowdell
Handsome Jack Dowdell, my first radio boss, chief engineer for WIBX for a score of years. Jack started as a runner on Wall Street, located to Saranac Lake and thence to Utica and Big Time Radio at WIBX. He also administered an FCC exam for my third-class FCC license. Jack and I became very close friends.

Marcy Transmitter
A beautiful day in the Mohawk Valley at the WIBX Transmitter site in Marcy. When WIBX increased its power to 5000watts, the site was changed to Clark Mills Road in Town of Whitestown where it stands today. Access to this site was via Barnes Avenue.
Ralph & Betty
Ralph Allinger, staff announcer, WIBX and Betty Cushing Griffin, when both were staff members of WIBX. They were married in 1955.
